“Our calling as Christians is an eternal one, and no ordinary education will meet that standard. Experience student life, academics, athletics, and preparation for professional excellence – all uncompromisingly committed to Christ and to the sufficiency, inerrancy, and authority of Scripture.” – Abner Chou, President & John F. 40 years of faithfulness! 📖
We recently celebrated Dr. Tom Halstead’s 40th year as a faculty member and honored his ongoing legacy at TMU as the dean of the School of Biblical Studies. Since becoming a Bible professor in 1985—the same year Dr. John MacArthur became president—Dr. Halstead has been instrumental in keeping TMU rooted in a love for Scripture. We are thankful for his continued impact on our students and the University.

This past fall, 13 students from The Master’s University Leadership Initiative traveled to Jupiter, Florida. Over four days, they visited TMU partners Entrusted and Red Rhino, attended Grace Immanuel Bible Church, and toured Arthrex, a leading medical device company.
The experience showcased the intersection of Christian leadership, the workplace, and the local church, providing students with opportunities to build relationships, explore new opportunities, and learn valuable leadership principles.
You can learn more about the Leadership Initiative and TMU’s Office of Career Services at masters.edu/ocs.

Meet David Lim 👋🏼 David is a marketing media major at TMU, combining creativity with business to pursue a career in the surf industry. He started his journey at TMU in fall 2023 and is on track to graduate in spring 2026.
Originally from Granada Hills, California, David chose TMU for its Scripture-based education. One of the highlights of his TMU experience so far has been the opportunity to apply what he has learned in the classroom to his current job as a marketing assistant at FARO Surfboard Bags.
When asked how he has grown spiritually here at TMU, David said: “The Lord has definitely helped me grow in seeing the importance of accountability, prayer, and fellowship with other believers.”
Academically, David has developed a strong passion for marketing: “I have really grown in my love for marketing and creating well-designed content to appeal to my target market.”
Looking ahead, David plans to move to Ventura, California, after graduation and, Lord-willing, continue working at FARO Surfboard Bags while seeking opportunities in social media and creative media management for surf companies.
David’s advice to future TMU students? “Find a solid group of friends for one-on-one accountability. Take initiative and start consistent Bible studies as a way to grow spiritually and stay accountable.”

Over the past year, students were awarded more than $30 million in financial aid, half of which was provided as institutional aid directly from TMU. Recent surveys have shown that 42% of our students graduated entirely debt-free.
Recipients of this scholarship pay zero tuition. This unique scholarship, which honors Dr. John P. Stead, combines all existing financial aid a student receives and then supplements the remaining amount to offer a full tuition scholarship. Five scholarships are awarded each year.
This most competitive scholarship is awarded to full-time incoming freshmen who achieve a weighted high school GPA of 4.00 or higher and an SAT I (or equivalent) score of 1350+. It awards over $80,000 across four years.
The Red & Blue scholarship is funded for students dependent on parent/s currently working full-time in law enforcement or fire departments.
The Admissions Office is open Monday through Friday for campus tours.
