This unique program offers students the opportunity to dive into the heart of the TMU experience. Spanning two or three semesters, students complete ten Biblical Studies classes (30 units total) and also experience life in the dorms, participate in chapel, and are engaged full time in the life-on-life discipleship and academic excellence that TMU offers. Upon completion, graduates receive The Master’s Institute Award of Achievement as well as TMU alumni status.

This program builds on TMU’s solid business core with specialized courses in Agricultural Management, Agricultural Products, and Agricultural Policy. It culminates with an on-site study at two agricultural sites for firsthand experience, empowering graduates in their pursuit of a career in the business of agriculture.
Students are trained in the art of biblical soul care. This program prepares counselors to meet the needs of people with the all-sufficient resources that God provides, equipping them to bring biblical guidance and hope to sufferers in their local churches. Biblical counseling programs at other schools typically teach an integration model, blending cherry-picked biblical principles with secular psychology. In contrast, we teach our students to understand why Scripture is sufficient to meet the needs of individuals and why Scripture alone offers people true hope.
The Biblical Languages emphasis consists of three years of biblical Greek and one year of Hebrew. While receiving a broad education in Scripture, theology, and Bible backgrounds, these students also dive deeply into the Bible’s original languages, allowing them to engage directly with the original text without the buffer of an English translation. This emphasis is primarily designed for students pursuing seminary or a future in Bible translation. However, anyone desiring to understand Scripture more accurately through knowledge of Greek and Hebrew will benefit greatly from this program.
The Christian Education emphasis is designed for students pursuing future ministry in education, whether that be through a local church, a public or private school, or a university. It is also valuable for students interested in missionary work. Our students study the principles of Christian education, and they put these principles into practice through ministry internships.
For students called to missions and missionary work abroad. This program focuses on understanding cross-cultural ministry and is designed for those who desire to serve in a full-time intercultural capacity. Students will be required to study language, church planting, cultural anthropology, and missionary life while living on the mission field for one summer. Each student will also serve in an ethnic church similar to the culture in which they desire to minister.
The Theology emphasis is a comprehensive study of biblical doctrine, from theology proper to eschatology. In addition to their deep study of systematic theology, our students are also equipped to understand the differences between Christianity and other world views, religions, and philosophies. This emphasis is designed for students pursuing seminary education and future service as a pastor or teacher.
The Master’s University has developed a Women’s Ministries Certificate of Achievement available to TMU undergraduate students as well as lay people in the community. TMU Theatre Arts is a co-curricular program housed in the Communication Department. It is designed to give training and expression in the performing arts alongside any major at the University. Participants and contributors come from all disciplines, dorms, and interests at TMU. Our program offers classes such as Theatre Arts, Theatre Production, and Introduction to Acting, allowing any students to receive formal, credited training in the performing arts.
We instill students with a biblical philosophy of the performing arts while giving them experience in the craft of acting and/or the many aspects of production. We emphasize the process as much as the product, which enables us to have an others-focused theatre program. This mindset pervades everything we do as we strive together to serve with our varied gifts. Many of our graduates have continued on to jobs in the arts industry or teaching, and some have pursued graduate school. This CWP program is designed for students who are passionate about content creation across the changing and expanding spectrum of communicative media, including fiction and non-fiction, photography, videography, journalism, and podcasting. CWP students choose from a wide variety of courses that provide opportunities to develop their unique creative interests, and they graduate with content creation skills that are increasingly in-demand across diverse industries. Students graduate with not just a degree, but also with a full portfolio of creative work to showcase to employers and clients.
Journalism students must be characterized by a love for and a commitment to truth and accuracy. By participating in TMU’s student newspaper (“The Mane”) and completing internships with local and national news agencies and outlets who have partnered with TMU, students are placed into the world of the working journalist. The English major offers a primarily traditional curriculum. The philosophy and practice of the faculty is to emphasize works of recognized and enduring merit in the canon of English, American, and World literature. At the same time, they remain receptive to the inclusion of new or neglected works that are compatible with the English department’s philosophy. Several courses examine critical theory, and faculty members employ a variety of methodologies in literary analysis, while favoring a historical and exegetical approach. Students explore the brilliant designs of our Creator evident in the human brain, equipping them to reflect these designs when they build A.I. systems. Since they are patterned after the brain, A.I. are some of the most sophisticated systems humans have ever designed—and yet they are based on elegant and simple concepts, which means that the fundamentals are approachable for undergraduate students.
TMU’s Mechanical Engineering program is for students who are called to learn how to analyze, apply, and advance technology for the honor of Christ and Scripture and for the good of all creation. Graduates are prepared for in-demand careers in a wide range of industries, including architectural, engineering, machinery, and aerospace manufacturing, a wide range of scientific R&D services, and engineering management.
