Grants are free money. These need-based government programs provide partial coverage of education costs that you never need to repay. To qualify, you generally need to complete the FAFSA, a helpful and free government form that asks questions pertaining to income, status, and family.

Students generally start repaying loans only after they graduate and are usually employed. Most loans are federal programs that allow students to borrow money at low interest rates, usually 3-4%. A wise option for a large portion of our students, typically graduating after 4 years with around only $20,000 in students loans.

Work-Study jobs are part-time, on-campus jobs that pay cash, helping you cover your education expenses. A wide range of work-study options are included, some count towards class credit and units, others as internships. Typically, student jobs do not exceed 20 hours/week during academic periods.

Special government aid is available to veterans and active-duty personnel.
