Dr. John MacArthur, chancellor of The Master’s University, delivered a message titled “The Enduring Legacy of The Puritans” as the concluding address of the Puritan Conference, hosted at Grace Community Church this fall.

“We know how important it is to sustain the influence [of the Puritans] to the next generation,” MacArthur said. “This has been handed to us as a legacy, for which we have become stewards, and we need to guard the treasure of the legacy of the Puritans.”

MacArthur went on to explain how we should “secure for the next generation this great core of theology and biblical insight and faithful pastoral application in the ministry.”

The Puritan Conference, according to Grace Community’s website, was designed as a “once-in-a-generation event celebrating one of the greatest eras in church history.” Other speakers at the conference included Kevin DeYoung, John Piper, and Ligon Duncan.
