The Master’s University Teaching Credential program produces teachers equipped and empowered to changes lives.

Over the past few years the program has also enjoyed a 100% placement rate for graduates in public, charter, Christian, and international schools.

The credential programs are designed to prepare primary and secondary level teachers in a residency-style environment, partnering students with veteran master teachers for hands-on classroom experience. Students learn from highly qualified, experienced professors, and current K-12 practitioners. Other program features include:

• On-ground cohorts: Allows students to form close, supportive, professional relationships with fellow Christian students and faculty
• Two-semester program: Enables students to obtain their credential in one school year at a total cost of under $18,000 (tuition, books, and fees)
• Skill development emphasis: Provides students with current, practical, real-world teaching strategies that can be immediately applied
• Biblical philosophy: Grounds students in the truth and prepares them for a life of impact

Students can choose to accelerate their bachelor’s degree, completing it in three years, and completing the credential program in year four. While working as a teacher, credential program graduates can complete TMU’s online Master of Education in Teaching degree, in two semesters. In as little as five years, students can complete their undergraduate degree, earn their teaching credential, and obtain a master’s degree.

We’re in the middle of a teacher shortage and the opportunity to pursue a meaningful career has never been greater. Master’s alumni are teaching locally in Santa Clarita, across the United States, and overseas. In 2019, several students received contracts and started teaching while they were still in the programs, further evidence that the field is wide open, and opportunity is knocking.
