**[Listen to Ep. 1: Dr. Jordan Morton on the Pandemic’s Impact on K-12 Education](http://the-art-of-discernment.masters.edu)**
The Master’s University’s newest podcast brings together a dynamite pairing: Dr. Bob Dickson’s background in journalism *and* members of the school’s esteemed faculty.
On each episode of The Art of Discernment, Dickson, chair of TMU’s communication department, will interview a professor on topics related to current events and higher education from a biblical worldview.
Dickson, an award-winning writer during his time at The Signal newspaper, brings an inquisitive mind, strong critical thinking, and a conversational tone to The Art of Discernment, which is set to be released every other week. The first episode, released Wednesday, features Dr. Jordan Morton, dean of the School of Education. Morton discusses what K-12 students have lost through distance learning during the pandemic and how teachers and parents can help them get it back.
Upcoming episodes will include Dr. Gregg Frazer on whether or not Big Tech has too much power; Dr. Matthew McLain on a recent discovery that has dealt a blow to evolutionary theory; and Dr. John Street on the emotional and spiritual toll of the pandemic.
