This week, The Master’s University Department of Kinesiology welcomed back recent graduates to speak to current students interested in nursing careers.

Katelyn Saulog (’22) is working toward her Master of Nursing at Pacific Lutheran University in Parkland, Washington, and Heidi Larsen (’22) and Katelyn Evaro (’21) recently graduated from the accelerated Bachelor of Nursing program at Concordia University, Irvine, and are scheduled to take the National Council Licensure Examination.

In the meeting, they each shared lessons they’ve learned in nursing school, including the importance of researching each program beforehand and maintaining a school-life balance. They also discussed their experience with the joys and hardships associated with caring for patients in view of God’s sovereignty and the unique opportunities afforded to share the truth of His Word.

TMU’s kinesiology (pre-physical therapy) and biological science (pre-nursing or pre-allied health) tracks prepare students to enter post-bachelor degree programs in nursing (primarily Bachelor of Science-to-Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or Bachelor of Science-to-Master of Science in Nursing).

TMU’s programs serves students who wish to complete select nursing requirements, Bible courses, and general education at TMU before transferring to a different institution to complete upper-division nursing classes and labs.

This is also an excellent option for students who wish to complete Bible and general education requirements through TMU’s unique biblical liberal arts curriculum before transferring to complete upper-division nursing courses elsewhere.
