The first episode of the Transformed podcast launched last week, inaugurating a new project in which Dr. Greg Gifford tackles the issues of life with the counsel of Scripture.

Gifford, chair of the biblical studies department at The Master’s University and a professor of biblical counseling, says that the podcast is aimed at an audience with less of a background in the Bible’s teachings.

“The intent is to reach out with the sufficiency of Scripture to a group of Christians who are totally unfamiliar with the fact that God’s Word has answers to their problems,” he says.

The Transformed podcast is produced by Gospel Partners Media and is designed as an offshoot of the Transformed TV show, which offered a unique window into real biblical counseling sessions (conducted by Gifford) in order to demonstrate Scripture’s power to transform the real problems of real people.

“This is a follow-up or a complement to that show,” Gifford says. “The podcast is providing our audience with more exposure to the sufficiency of Scripture.”

Season 1 of the podcast will cover topics such as the process of biblical change and principles of communication.
