O.J. graduated from TMU in 2014 with a degree in history. He then interned at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, IL, worked as a docent for Passages, Museum of the Bible, and most recently, spent five years teaching at Desert Christian High School in Lancaster, CA. He enjoys research and writing, but most of all, he is passionate about the Word of God and discipleship. His favorite verses are Lamentations 3:21-25.
Waldock is a two-story building in a wide V shape. In the middle of both floors are lounges with great views of Placerita Canyon. The Resident Director apartment is in the middle of the second story.
The dorm is divided into four wings, two per floor of 10-11 rooms with a large, central shower and restroom area on each floor. Laundry facilities are on the first floor. Each room is fully furnished for two students including beds, built-in shelving, drawers, closet space, desks, and an individual heater/air-conditioner unit. The wings are generally referred to as “Upper-East,” “Upper-West,” “Lower-East,” and “Lower-West.”
Waldock’s sister dorm is Dixon Hall.

Wednesday Waldock Waffles (on Thursday):Wednesday doesn’t work with the schedule, but that doesn’t stop Waldock from hosting a waffle night in their lounge. Every other Thursday at 9:30 pm, students gather for an informal time of breakfast food, fun, and fellowship. Come join us!
Glo-in-the-Dark Ultimate Frisbee: The Waldock RD, O.J., hosts the Ultimate Frisbee club on campus, which meets weekly on the baseball field for a nighttime pickup game. In addition to the men of Waldock, other students of all skill levels from all dorms/houses are welcome to come play as well. With a light-up frisbee and glow-sticks provided, it’s always a fun time!
Pumpkin Carving: An old tradition with their sister dorm, Dixon. Students have one hour to carve a pumpkin to the best of their ability. When time is up, tea lights are lit inside. As the RDs vote, they blow out the candles one by one. The last pumpkin with a lit candle is the winner. Fellowship and pie follow.
