Men's Resident Director

Dylan Flannery

Born and raised in Chandler, Arizona, Dylan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies, with an emphasis on human performance education, from Adams State University in 2014. He was saved out of the prosperity gospel in 2017 through the preaching of Pastor John MacArthur.
He is happily married to his wife, Julianna, since January 10, 2020, and they are expecting their third child in March 2025. Julianna stays home to raise their two beautiful daughters, Evangelina (1.5) and Eliana (3.5). Dylan also serves as the Performance and Strength Coordinator for the athletic department at TMU and helps lead the Evangelism Club and Airsoft Club. This is his fifth year serving at TMU. He and his family are faithful members of Oak Hill Bible Church, where they cherish their community and love God’s people. His current favorite Bible verses are John 15:9, Romans 8:32, Romans 2:7, and Isaiah 41:10.
Dylan enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters. Together, they love watching movies, listening to good music, eating great food, playing board games, and going for walks. Dylan also enjoys working out, hunting, and other outdoor activities.

What are the Houses Like?

Since 2021, TMU Canyon Homes have become a unique and exciting residential option. Tucked away in the Placerita Canyon, these residences offer the convenience of being adjacent to the campus while providing a truly exceptional living experience. Typically reserved for upperclassmen (Juniors and Seniors), occasional exceptions are granted based on circumstances and availability.

Living in a Canyon Home provides students with an opportunity for community building and service. Each home has its distinct character and is named in honor of a historical Christian figure – including Calvin, Spurgeon, Bunyan, Hudson Taylor, Sproul, Edwards, and Tyndale, to name a few. Each residence typically has four to six bedrooms and all the necessary amenities for comfortable living, including a refurbished kitchen, cozy living and dining rooms, a well-equipped laundry room, lightning-fast Wi-Fi connectivity, and sizable bathrooms. Varying on the home, large yards and outdoor spaces, driveway parking, and other perks and premium features may also be available.

As part of TMU’s on-campus housing, every Canyon Home has its own Resident Assistant (RA) committed to fostering intentional and vibrant communities.

Canyon Homes residents have been hosting a variety of exciting events, including Block Parties, Soupapalooza (aka Friendsgiving), pizza, pajama, and movie nights, and Open House events every other Friday. These events create an opportunity for students to connect, grow, and create lasting memories while building a sense of community within the Canyon Homes.
