As TMU’s Global Outreach Department, we strive to create opportunities for the students, through short-term mission trips, to experience what it’s like to serve the Kingdom of God overseas. We connect them with our Missionary Alumni and other agencies. Our efforts are to give the student body a global mindset, cultivate awareness of the needs of the mission field, and raise interest to work with other missionaries abroad.

Gospel-Centric
Scripture is the guide for how we do missions. We submit to the authority of God’s Word and proclaim it in sound doctrine. Our goal is to always preach the Gospel. (2 Tim. 3:16, Romans 10:15)
Church-Focused
The Church, which Christ is building (Matt. 16:18) is the pillar and foundation of the truth (1 Tim 3:15). Our trips are centered on serving and encouraging local churches that are aligned with our doctrinal statement at TMU. (Acts 14:21-22)
God-Glorifying
Jesus Christ is the radiance of the glory of God (Heb. 1;3). It is our aim to reflect his glory in every aspect of missions. Our trips aren’t about our experiences or exposure, but to make the glory of Christ known. As John Piper says, “Missions exists because worship doesn’t”
