The Barbara Cherry Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established in memory of Mrs. Barbara Cherry, a beloved wife and mother. This fund provides scholarship assistance to deserving students at The Master’s University, with a preference for those pursuing studies in the sciences. This focus reflects Barbara’s dedicated work as a nurse and her compassionate love for those in need.

BAYCROSS FOUNDATION ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

The Baycross Foundation Endowed Scholarship Fund provides scholarship assistance to students from faithful churches. Understanding the additional financial burdens faced by out-of-state students who wish to attend The Master’s University, this scholarship plays a vital role in both attracting and retaining these students. By alleviating some of the financial challenges, the fund significantly reduces student debt upon graduation.

BETHANY REHRER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Music is a universal language given to us by God that expresses thoughts and emotions where words cannot. The music faculty at The Master’s University believe in the vital role and purpose of this gift and are privileged to train students to use their musical abilities to the glory of God. Our desire is to help students recognize that every aspect of music-making is worship, and enable them to develop their God-given gifts to become salt and light. We want all of our students to live as God-first musicians. This endowed scholarship was established in loving memory of Bethany Rehrer, a beloved music student at The Master’s University known for her gentle and friendly spirit.

BETTY J. CARGILL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Betty J. Cargill Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established by the family of Mrs. Cargill in remembrance of their beloved grandmother. Betty is described as one who lived her life to the fullest, and loved others in such a way that can only be explained by the presence of Jesus in her heart. She was a farm girl with an extraordinary work ethic. Thus, the purpose of this scholarship is to provide assistance to students who reflect this same work ethic, as well as Christian character that would demonstrate a strong potential for significant Kingdom impact.

COLLEEN SOUTHERN–CARMICHAEL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

The Colleen Southern–Carmichael Endowment provides scholarships to deserving TMU students, prioritizing dependents of active missionaries who do not receive financial support from their mission agency. Additionally, the endowment extends its support to students with physical disabilities. This endowment reflects a commitment to ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder the educational pursuits of children of missionaries or those who daily overcome disability challenges.

CORNELIUS ENDOWMENT

The Cornelius Endowment, founded by friends of The Master’s University, serves as a crucial resource for both students and faculty. This endowment’s income is thoughtfully divided to maximize its impact: half is allocated to provide financial assistance to students who might otherwise be unable to afford a TMU education, while the other half is invested in enhancing faculty salaries. This ensures that worthy students can attend TMU and that the University can attract and retain exceptional Christian educators, keeping the university competitive in the higher-education landscape.

DAVID AND ERYN LEE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

The David and Eryn Lee Endowment was established to provide scholarship support to deserving students at The Master’s University. This endowment specifically funds scholarships for students who will focus their studies in the area of biblical counseling.

 

The Master’s University’s Biblical Counseling Program is renowned for its rigorous academic framework, deeply rooted in Scripture, and is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to counsel others from a biblical perspective.

 

Support from the David & Eryn Lee Endowment plays a pivotal role in preparing future counselors who will offer compassionate, Christ-centered guidance in a world that desperately needs biblical truth.

DAVID VAN WINGERDEN SCHOLARSHIP

David’s passion for the sufficiency of Scripture, its authority, and the advancement of the gospel in all marketplace ventures, along with his deep love for Christ have made an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing him.

This scholarship fund has been established in honor of David, who dedicated over 30 years of service to TMU as a student, parent, supporter, and board member, and whose legacy continues through the numerous students, alumni and leaders that have been affected by his commitment to the training of a generation in the truth at The Master’s University.

This scholarship fund will continue David van Wingerden’s legacy by providing tuition assistance to worthy students who share David’s passion and commitment to Christ centered education and marketplace ministry.

DEBORAH ZOBEL MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Deborah Zobel Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established in loving memory of Deborah by her family and friends. This scholarship provides financial assistance to business majors who exemplify the spiritual and academic qualities found in Deborah and who demonstrate genuine financial need.

FLORADON FOUNDATION JOURNALISM SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship fund provides financial support to students who are passionate about storytelling and communication, offering aid to those pursuing a Journalism emphasis, a Creative Writing emphasis, or a Communication Studies degree.

 

The Master’s University’s programs in Journalism and Creative Writing are designed to cultivate skilled communicators who excel in conveying truth through various mediums. The Journalism emphasis equips students with the tools to report and analyze news with integrity, while the Creative Writing emphasis nurtures the art of crafting compelling narratives that resonate with readers. The Communication Studies major broadens this scope, preparing students to engage effectively across diverse platforms.

 

This scholarship fund enables students to pursue these dynamic fields, empowering them to influence the world through written and spoken word, all while upholding the highest standards of Christian ethics and biblical truth.

GENERATIONS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Generations Endowment was established by donors to provide scholarship assistance to students coming from faithful churches to TMUS to be trained for generational influence for the Kingdom of God. This endowed fund also contributes to the financial sustainability of TMUS to assure that it can continue to maintain its mission in steadfastly teaching the next generation of young men and women in sound biblical truth.

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Great Is Thy Faithfulness Endowment Fund was established in honor of Rosalee Crady. This fund provides scholarships to young men and women who demonstrate financial need, with a preference for business students who are actively involved in The Master’s University’s Music Department.

HAILEY MARIE FRANTZEN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Established in memory of Hailey-Marie Frantzen, a student with a love for the Lord, music, and her English and Political Science studies at The Master’s University, this scholarship seeks to honor her life by providing aid to other students who have an aptitude toward the same disciplines and are in need of financial assistance to attend The Master’s University.

HARDY FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP

The Hardy Family Scholarship provides financial aid to students from families affiliated with Hardy Diagnostics and central coast churches. This scholarship supports students who seek a biblical education that equips them for a life of enduring commitment to Christ and Scripture. The Hardy Family Scholarship aims to empower the next generation of leaders who will carry forward the gospel of Jesus Christ into every sphere of their lives and ministries

JOHN AND WANDALEE FULLERTON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND

This endowment fund was established to cultivate a new generation of Christian leaders who embody the mission of The Master’s University. Scholarships from this fund are awarded to students who demonstrate a strong commitment to Christ, biblical fidelity, moral integrity, intellectual growth, and a dedicated contribution to their local church.

 

While all students who meet these criteria are considered, preference may be given to those majoring in Business. The Master’s University Business program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the marketplace while upholding Christian values. Through a curriculum that integrates biblical principles with business acumen, students are prepared to lead with integrity, make ethical decisions, and influence the business world for Christ.

 

This endowment ensures that future business leaders are not only professionally competent but also spiritually grounded, ready to make a significant impact in their fields and the local church.

JONES-SHEPHERD FAMILY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Jones-Shepherd Family Endowed Scholarship was established by Drs. Taylor and Kimberlyn Jones at The Master’s University. This scholarship seeks to provide scholarship assistance to worthy TMU students who are either biological sciences majors and share Dr. Taylor Jones’ love of organic chemistry, or music majors who share Dr. Kimberlyn Jones’ love of vocal music and opera.

JOSEPH BARNES MEMORIAL SOCCER SCHOLARSHIP

Joseph Cable Barnes was a true Renaissance Man, an avid painter who focused his artistic skill on painting flags, and a patriot who loved our country and those who served to protect our freedom. He loved hunting, fishing, watersports, and golfing. He played soccer at The Master’s University and pursued various entrepreneurial endeavors in his professional life. He loved his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ and his family. He invested in people, both strangers and loved ones and generously gave his time and resources in service to them. He was chivalrous, a defender of the underdog, and was intimidated by nothing and no one.

In recognition of his life and passions, TMU established the Joseph Cable Barnes Memorial Soccer Scholarship to continue training a new generation of faithful Christian men who serve the Lord by caring for God’s people and pursuing their God-given passions with excellence. This fund honors the legacy of Joseph Barnes by the funding of a men’s soccer scholarship given to deserving student-athletes who exhibit the character traits found in Joe.

NADINE TILLEY SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Nadine Tilley is a generous and longstanding supporter of The Master’s University, whose kindness has been instrumental in opening doors for many young men and women who might otherwise have been unable to attend TMU. The Nadine Tilley Scholarship Fund embodies her enduring commitment to assisting students facing financial constraints. Supported by contributions from the Tilley Family Foundation, this fund continues to build on her legacy of empowering students to pursue a transformative education at TMU, enabling them to thrive academically and spiritually despite financial challenges.

TOBIN BOLTER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Tobin Bolter’s earthly life was tragically taken while serving in the line of duty working as a deputy for the Ada County Sheriff’s Office in Boise, Idaho. He graduated from The Master’s University in 2017 with a Business Administration degree. During his time at the University, he was also a member of the Cross Country Team.

Tobin’s family described him in this way:

“Tobin’s life has been a reflection of God’s grace. He was a selfless man of conviction, giving God the glory in all circumstances. Tobin sacrificially loved his wife, Abbey. As a peace officer, Tobin was able to faithfully serve and protect his community because his foundation was deeply rooted in the hope of the gospel; he lived without fear. Tobin’s vivacious spirit and selfless care for others were an encouragement to all who knew him.”

This scholarship fund was created in loving memory of Tobin. Scholarships from this fund will be awarded to worthy students studying at The Master’s University in honor and memory of his life and legacy.
