Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies
Michael Nesheim has taught a variety of Finance, Marketing, Management and Communication courses at The Master’s University for over past six years.
His business career afforded him the ability to successfully build a couple small businesses in the local financial services industry. For over 25 years he consulted and advised businesses ranging from small employers to multi-state / multi-thousand employee firms. He and his partners built a wonderful relationship with their clients and serviced over 150 employers annually in the California marketplace. He remains the financial adviser on several large employer retirement plan assets as well as transacts on a significant block of employee benefits insurance policies annually. Through his current business activities in the market, he is able to pull his contract negotiations passion in the business world into the classroom here at TMU to help students see how real-life business scenarios connect with the topics being discussed or learned in the classroom. He believes this will help them better connect real-life to their education and make them stronger assets to future employers.
Professor Nesheim has been married for over 28 years. Michael and his wife Melissa have four children, Amanda, Ethan, Eliza and Amelia. Amanda currently works in the cardiology department of a local hospital and Ethan and Eliza are graduates of The Master’s University. Ethan is currently working in the financial services industry and Eliza is teaching 6th and 7th grade science at a local private Christian school. Amelia is currently a student studying business here at The Master’s University.
