Navigating Handshake

TMU Handshake is the student online job board. On-campus student jobs will be posted under the University’s employer profile. Off-campus jobs can be filtered by job type, location, industry, etc.

Register

Current students and alumni can create an account using their TMU-issued student email address. Handshake matches students with internship and job opportunities based on the student’s major, experience, skills, and selected interests included in their user profile.

Students can make their profile and resume accessible to selected employers, industries, and recruiters.

Apply

Students can upload application documents and apply for positions directly through Handshake. On-campus employers at TMU require applicants to submit the Student Employment Application, along with a tailored resume and cover letter, to receive full consideration. The application can be downloaded here.

Applicants will receive application status updates through Handshake as their applications are received and reviewed for completeness and candidacy. Interviews are conducted and hiring decisions are made by individual departments and hiring managers.
