Church Partner Scholarships
The Master's University Doctor in Ministry of Biblical Counseling

Application Opens November 1st, 2023.

Amount:

$14,000. Awarded as $3,500 per year for up to 4 years.

Eligibility:

This scholarship is for new, incoming traditional undergraduate freshmen or transfer students. The student must be a member or regular attendee of the partnered church (listed above) and provide the pastor’s recommendation from the listed church in their application for traditional undergraduate admissions.

Students must apply for this scholarship to be eligible. Scholarship awards are not automatic.

The student must have a high school GPA of 3.0 or above, or transfer students must have a transfer GPA of 3.0 or above. Awards are dependent on GPA, FAFSA, and Need.

Scholarships are limited to five (5) per church. Once all scholarships have been awarded, eligible students who have not been awarded may be placed on a scholarship waitlist.

The Church Scholarship is a part of the TMU Community (TMUC) Scholarships. Please note that TMUC Scholarships cannot be stacked with each other but can stack with most other forms of aid. TMUC Scholarships include Alumni, PMD, Church Scholarship, Partner School Scholarships, TMF Scholarship, Red & Blue, First Generation, and SoCal Church Scholarship.

The Master’s Fellowship (TMF) Member Churches

Eligibility:

This scholarship is for new, incoming traditional undergraduate freshmen or transfer students.

The student must be a member or regular attendee of a TMF member church and provide the pastor’s recommendation from the TMF church in their application for traditional undergraduate admissions.

Students must apply for this scholarship to be eligible. Scholarship awards are not automatic.

Pastor and Missionary Dependent Scholarship

Amount:

$16,000. Awarded as $4,000/year across up to 4 years.

Eligibility:

Awarded to full-time students demonstrating need, who are dependents of full-time pastors or missionaries, who provide their family’s primary support, and whose ministries are consistent with the mission of TMU.

The Pastor and Missionary Dependent Scholarship is a part of the TMU Community (TMUC) Scholarships. Please note that TMUC Scholarships cannot be stacked with each other but can stack with most other forms of aid. TMUC Scholarships include Alumni, PMD, Church Scholarship, Partner School Scholarships, TMF Scholarship, Red & Blue, First Generation, and SoCal Church Scholarship.

Ministry Matching Grant
The Master's University Doctor in Ministry of Biblical Counseling Overview

Application Opens November 1st, 2023.

Amount:

$20,000, awarded as TMU matching up to $2,500/year for all ministry scholarships per student across four years.

Eligibility:

Awarded to students who receive sponsorship from a Christian ministry. TMU will match, on a dollar-for-dollar basis, up to $2,500 per student as long as funds remain available, yielding $2,500+$2,500 in aid to the student per year. Cumulatively, across four years, it totals $20,000 in aid, which stacks with academic aid and some other aid.

Scholarship For Students From Churches in Southern California

Application:

Amount:

$1,000 | First-year only community scholarship

$40 | Waived application fee

Eligibility:

Students must be first-time applicants to the residential undergraduate program, and standard admissions criteria apply. The Southern California region, for this scholarship, is defined as Fresno County and south.

TMU provides the SoCal Church Scholarship to high school students applying to university. This scholarship encourages young Christians in our region to deepen their walk with Christ by attending a Christian university because we care deeply about His church. We also care deeply for students, understanding that college costs can seem overwhelming. That is why we offer this $1,000 scholarship, which may be stacked with other academic awards at TMU and with grants like the Cal or Pell Grant, creating the most affordable financial aid package available.

Additionally, as a SoCal Church applicant, TMU will waive your $40 application fee so you can apply for free.
