Thanks to the generous support of benefactor John L. Robinson, the School of Music has promoted music from the 16th-18th centuries in ways that go beyond classroom instruction. Benefits to students include financing of private lessons with early music specialists, sponsoring master classes, purchasing specialized equipment, and underwriting historically informed concerts. The purchase of a versatile Roland C-30 keyboard has impacted music making in multiple ensembles. Its faithful reproduction of the sounds of positive pipe organ, fortepiano, several styles of harpsichord, as well as celesta, has been a dynamic addition to our music education and production.
