Welcome to TMU and congratulations on being Admitted! Now that you have chosen to come to TMU, what’s next? Navigate this page for assistance on what you must do before arriving in the U.S., how to obtain your required legal documents to study at TMU, the steps you must take to complete mandatory immigration check-in and visa handbook agreement requirement upon arriving to TMU, and how to maintain your F-1 student status after you begin your studies at TMU.
Below you will find this F-1 information:
Our goal is to help you succeed and do your best when you arrive on the TMU campus. Please complete the following steps to ensure that you have completed everything before you arrive:
1) Sign up for orientation and check your account for any stops:
(This link will prompt you to log on to Self Service and list any STOPS you might have. If there are no STOPS listed, you are clear. NOTE: A message stating you are not eligible to register refers to advisor authorization. This is a separate issue from a STOP. Contact your advisor or the Registrar’s office for authorization if you want to make any course changes.)
2) Check Self Service for any pending Financial Aid documents
Feel free to call The Office of Financial Aid to check if anything is missing: 661-362-2290
3) Complete the WOW Check-In forms:
We highly suggest that you pack light and buy the majority of your necessities when you get here. There will be many opportunities to go shopping. We recommend that you only bring personal items with you.
Make your travel arrangements to fly into LAX or BUR. If you need to be picked up from the airport, please note that we only provide transportation from LAX to TMU between 6am – 5pm. Please let us know if you will need a ride when signing up for orientation.
