This endowed scholarship was established in loving memory of Bethany Rehrer, a beloved music student at The Master’s University known for her gentle and friendly spirit.
The Betty J. Cargill Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established by the family of Mrs. Cargill in remembrance of their beloved grandmother. Betty is described as one who lived her life to the fullest, and loved others in such a way that can only be explained by the presence of Jesus in her heart. She was a farm girl with an extraordinary work ethic. Thus, the purpose of this scholarship is to provide assistance to students who reflect this same work ethic, as well as Christian character that would demonstrate a strong potential for significant Kingdom impact.
The Colleen Southern–Carmichael Endowment provides scholarships to deserving TMU students, prioritizing dependents of active missionaries who do not receive financial support from their mission agency. Additionally, the endowment extends its support to students with physical disabilities. This endowment reflects a commitment to ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder the educational pursuits of children of missionaries or those who daily overcome disability challenges.
The Cornelius Endowment, founded by friends of The Master’s University, serves as a crucial resource for both students and faculty. This endowment’s income is thoughtfully divided to maximize its impact: half is allocated to provide financial assistance to students who might otherwise be unable to afford a TMU education, while the other half is invested in enhancing faculty salaries. This scholarship supports students who seek a biblical education that equips them for a life of enduring commitment to Christ and Scripture. While all students who meet these criteria are considered, preference may be given to those majoring in Business. The John R. Dunkin Alumni Endowment provides scholarship assistance to students at The Master’s University who are the children of alumni or whose parents are actively involved as associates of the University. TMU alumni and active associates serve as ambassadors for the University, displaying the biblically sound education available at TMU. Our desire is for the children of these faithful individuals to receive the same education so deeply cherished by their parents.
The Jones-Shepherd Family Endowed Scholarship was established by Drs. Taylor and Kimberlyn Jones at The Master’s University. This scholarship seeks to provide scholarship assistance to worthy TMU students who are either biological sciences majors and share Dr. Taylor Jones’ love of organic chemistry, or music majors who share Dr. Kimberlyn Jones’ love of vocal music and opera.
Joseph Cable Barnes was a true Renaissance Man, an avid painter who focused his artistic skill on painting flags, and a patriot who loved our country and those who served to protect our freedom. He loved hunting, fishing, watersports, and golfing. He played soccer at The Master’s University and pursued various entrepreneurial endeavors in his professional life. He loved his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ and his family. He invested in people, both strangers and loved ones and generously gave his time and resources in service to them. He was chivalrous, a defender of the underdog, and was intimidated by nothing and no one.
In recognition of his life and passions, TMU established the Joseph Cable Barnes Memorial Soccer Scholarship to continue training a new generation of faithful Christian men who serve the Lord by caring for God’s people and pursuing their God-given passions with excellence. This fund honors the legacy of Joseph Barnes by the funding of a men’s soccer scholarship given to deserving student-athletes who exhibit the character traits found in Joe.
The classroom at The Master’s University is a place where faculty train students to submit every thought and discipline unto the Lordship of Christ. Our professors have dedicated their lives to preparing future generations of the Church for the glory of Christ. The Lydia Endowment, established in 2012 and based upon Acts 16:14-15, is used to support, retain, and recruit faculty at TMU.

This endowment supports several of TMU’s most prestigious scholarships, awarded annually to deserving students. Nadine Tilley is a generous and longstanding supporter of The Master’s University, whose kindness has been instrumental in opening doors for many young men and women who might otherwise have been unable to attend TMU. The Nadine Tilley Scholarship Fund embodies her enduring commitment to assisting students facing financial constraints. Supported by contributions from the Tilley Family Foundation, this fund continues to build on her legacy of empowering students to pursue a transformative education at TMU, enabling them to thrive academically and spiritually despite financial challenges.
The Master’s Global Scholarship provides financial assistance to three categories of TMU students: international students with a proven affiliation to TMU, GMI, TMAI, GTY, TMS, or TMU alumni; students from churches with long-standing relationships with TMUS; and students who are children of TMU alumni.
The purpose of the scholarship is to support the next generation of faithful leaders as TMU trains students with strong academic abilities and a demonstrated commitment to serving Christ.

When it comes to recruiting and retaining students, a foundational goal upon which all other ambitions are built is to make The Master’s University affordable for everyone. We want students at TMU to fully experience their education without having to take on additional jobs to cover tuition bills. Our desire is for alumni to transition to their careers after graduation, unburdened by debilitating amounts of debt.
TMU’s mission requires us to seriously address affordability, allowing our students and their families to focus on educational opportunities at TMU rather than a prohibitive price tag. The TMU Fund is the University’s unrestricted annual fund, representing an ongoing investment in our highest priority: improving affordability for every student so that we can fulfill our mission.
Tobin Bolter’s earthly life was tragically taken while serving in the line of duty working as a deputy for the Ada County Sheriff’s Office in Boise, Idaho. He graduated from The Master’s University in 2017 with a Business Administration degree. During his time at the University, he was also a member of the Cross Country Team.
Tobin’s family described him in this way:
“Tobin’s life has been a reflection of God’s grace. He was a selfless man of conviction, giving God the glory in all circumstances. Tobin sacrificially loved his wife, Abbey. As a peace officer, Tobin was able to faithfully serve and protect his community because his foundation was deeply rooted in the hope of the gospel; he lived without fear. Tobin’s vivacious spirit and selfless care for others were an encouragement to all who knew him.”
This scholarship fund was created in loving memory of Tobin. Scholarships from this fund will be awarded to worthy students studying at The Master’s University in honor and memory of his life and legacy.
