Since joining TMUS in 2004, Dr. Abner Chou has significantly contributed to its academic and theological excellence, becoming the first fully funded research chair in 2017 and later President in 2022. Dedicated to maintaining doctrinal integrity in line with Dr. MacArthur’s legacy, Dr. Chou has influenced through teaching, research, and writing, and has led the translation of the Legacy Standard Bible. Beyond his professional achievements, he enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with his family, including his wife Johanna and their four children.
Nathan Busenitz teaches historical theology at The Master’s Seminary. He is also the Dean of Faculty and the school’s Executive Vice President. Raised at Grace Community Church, Dr. Busenitz was trained in an expositional model of ministry not only by his pastor, John MacArthur, but also his father, Irv Busenitz, who was an original faculty member and a vice president at TMS for nearly two decades. Dr. Busenitz has authored several books, including Living a Life of Hope, Reasons We Believe, and Long Before Luther. He and his wife, Beth, have four children and serve in the Cornerstone fellowship group at Grace Community Church.
