During a chapel message last semester, former VP of Student Life and Campus Pastor Harry Walls exhorted TMU ...students to seek understanding of God’s truth—the only way to live the fulfilling life offered by Christ.
Chapel is a vital part of The Master’s University, complementing a student’s academic and spiritual experience, and providing the campus community with a dynamic worship experience. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, students, faculty, and staff gather for a time centered on the expositional preaching of Scripture. Speakers include pastors, missionaries, faculty members, Christian leaders, and students. Along with chapel, TMU students get to experience student life, academics, athletics, and preparation for professional excellence – all uncompromisingly committed to Christ and to the sufficiency, inerrancy, and authority of Scripture. Dr. Shelbi Cullen, a biblical counseling professor at TMU, recently delivered a series of talks on the topic of biblical priorities for women.

“For in Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, And in Him all things hold together.”

In a chapel message last Fall, President of The Master’s University & Seminary Dr. Abner Chou exhorted TMU students to have a proper perspective on the sovereignty of God — understanding that Christ is above all and has absolute control.

Every summer, students interested in biblical languages enroll in TMU’s 7-week intensive biblical Greek course. This session’s students are finishing this course this week, which covers both semesters of Greek I and Greek II; join us in praying for the students taking the class that has been ...nicknamed “Gladiator Greek” for its rigor, that they may work heartily as unto the Lord. (Colossians 3:23-24)
The School of Biblical Studies at The Master’s University teaches students how to approach the Word of God on its own terms, studying the original languages as well as the Bible’s historical and cultural context. It also immerses students in the study of theology, biblical counseling, and individual books of Scripture. All of our faculty and staff affirm our full doctrinal statement, so students enjoy robust discipleship and unified instruction as they form deeply-rooted biblical convictions. Additionally, all students studying Bible as a major at Master’s are required to take one year of biblical languages, whether Greek or Hebrew. In studying the Bible in its original languages, students gain a more precise picture of the author’s intentions and a deeper understanding of how the Old and New Testaments work together in context.
TMU’s commitment to the original languages is matched by an unwavering commitment to the inerrancy, authority, and sufficiency of the Word of God. Learn more about our School of Biblical Studies at masters.edu/biblical-studies.
“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.”

During a chapel message last fall, Shannon Hurley exhorted TMU students that it is not enough to simply know that God's ways are best – true joy is found in... complete submission to His Word.
