Easton Johnson hugs his mother after winning the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship at Las Sendas Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.

TMU freshman Easton Johnson won the individual 2023 NAIA Men’s Golf National Championship on Friday in Mesa, Arizona. Johnson is the second player in program history to win a national title. He finished the 72-hole tournament at 8-under, but didn’t claim the title until he held off an opponent from Bellevue University (Nebraska) in a two-hole playoff.

As a team, the Mustangs finished as the national runners-up.
