In 2022, The Master’s University in Santa Clarita, California, received high marks from organizations and websites that rank universities.

Niche, a platform which conducts in-depth reports on schools and colleges across America, ranked TMU’s campus in the top 4% of safest college campuses in America. TMU was also in the top 5% of best college campuses nationwide, a metric which considers “outstanding campus resources across classrooms, labs, performance venues, housing, food, and recreational facilities.” TMU placed in the top 4% in best college dorms in the country and was among the top five best Christian colleges in California.

Niche also found that 96% of TMU students say their professors are passionate about their subjects, care about student success, and are engaging and easy to understand.

These rankings come on the heels of another record-breaking incoming class. TMU welcomed 443 new students to campus in fall 2022, after 413 new students enrolled in 2021. On a related note, TMU recently ranked No. 20 in California for average GPA of incoming freshmen (collegesimply.com).

Evaluators also looked favorably on several of TMU’s individual programs. AcademicInfluence.com placed TMU at No. 1 in “influential religious studies undergraduate programs” among California liberal arts colleges, and No. 6 nationwide. TMU’s computer science program also ranked No. 4 in “influential computer science undergraduate programs” among California liberal arts colleges by Academic Influence, and No. 7 for “best computer science schools” in California by independent ranker Best Value Schools.

TMU was ranked No. 8 for best schools for publishing in the U.S., according to collegefactual.com, and No. 10 in parks/recreation/leisure/fitness studies, according to plexuss.com.

In 2022, TMU students scored exceptionally well in several areas of ETS Major Field Tests, comprehensive assessments which evaluate student knowledge and understanding in academic majors. Results from the business exam placed TMU students in the top 1% in accounting, economics, marketing, legal and social issues, and international business.

TMU’s online program, which offers more than 15 graduate and undergraduate programs, received recognition in several areas. Crosswalk, an online Christian magazine, named TMU Online the best online Christian university in the country. And Intelligent, an independent ranker, placed TMU at No. 13 for Best Online Bachelor’s in Christian Counseling Programs.

Elsewhere, The Master’s University and Seminary ranked first in its peer group in several key categories, according to data from last year’s U.S. News Best Colleges rankings.

Data shows TMUS is first among 13 peer Christian universities in the areas of class size, alumni giving, and student retention.
