Overview

If applying for Cal-Grant for the first time, submit a GPA Verification Form to the Registrar’s Office.

TMU does not verify GPAs for:

• High School students
• Students from unaccredited high schools, (i.e. most homeschools), who haven’t completed at least 24 college-level units.
• Students already receiving Cal-Grant.

Visit the CSAC website for:

• The GPA Verification Form. Due to the Registrar’s Office 2 weeks prior to the Cal Grant Deadline. (typically Feb 16th).
• The Cal Grant deadline (typically March 2nd).

Instructions for submitting GPA

The Registrar’s Office will notify students in January that is time to submit their GPA Verification for Cal-Grant.

The GPA Verification Form is found on the CSAC website. A signed form must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office or to .

Please follow the instructions below that apply to you:

I am in college and I am already receiving Cal Grant: If you are already receiving Cal Grant, you do not need to request your GPA to be verified again. You do not need to fill out a GPA Verification Form.

• Not sure if you are already receiving Cal-Grant, or if your GPA was submitted? Log into WebGrants.

I finished at least 24 college units: Fill out a GPA Verification Form. You will be notified once our GPA is submitted. Please check your TMU email.

I finished less than 24 college units and attended an accredited High school: Your HS transcripts are required if you have not completed 24 college units. If we don’t have them, please have them sent to us ASAP. Then, submit a verification form. You will be notified when your GPA is submitted. Please check your TMU email.

I finished less than 24 college units and did not attend an accredited High school: Send your SAT or ACT scores directly to Cal Grant. TMU will not submit your GPA. You do not need to fill out a verification form.

I am in High School: we do not verity GPA for High School Students. Please refer to the CSAC website or visit The Office of Financial Aid for more information.
