SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Master’s College volleyball team victory may be hitting its stride at the right time.

On top of riding a four-game winning streak, the Lady Mustangs opened their Golden State Athletic Conference slate Friday night at Bross Court with a 3-0 win over the Menlo Oaks.

After its three-set victory (25-21, 25-15, 25-11), TMC’s 2015 record improved to 8-5 (3-0).

“Menlo came out strong and challenged our team’s energy,” commented head coach Allan Vince. “Our girls responded by coming together and battling for each point. I am proud of my leaders this week; They are truly setting a championship tone for this season.”

Morgan Koch (Auburn, CA), tallied nine kills, while Allison Child (Shingle Springs, CA) followed with eight more. Aubrey Bekendam (Orland, CA) posted 27 assists, and Brittany Jack (Sandhurst, Australia) notched nine digs.

Collectively, TMC finished the evening with 41 kills, 39 digs, 37 assists, and a .354 attack percentage.

Tomorrow, the Lady Mustangs will look to continue their hot streak in a match against William Jessup University (4-7, 0-1). First serve is set for 4:00 p.m. at Bross Court.
