Commenting on TMU’s 2017 schedule, fourth-year head coach Allan Vince said, “I’m very excited to play in the HIU Summer Slam tournament for our first competitive showing. We’re going to play some challenging teams that will hopefully give us some wins from the get go. I’m also really excited for the Missouri tournament, as that will pit us against some of the nation’s best teams. This schedule will challenge our roster as we have a bunch of young players that will have the opportunity to grow for future years. Finally, I’m excited for the GSAC Tournament, as it will culminate the year’s hard work. The teams in the GSAC are pretty even this season and the championship is up for grabs. We're up for the challenge.”

Last season, Vince led TMU to a 20-11 (12-4 GSAC) record. Notably, 2016’s campaign marked the second time since 2012 that the Lady Mustangs have posted 20 regular-season victories.
