EAGLE ROCK, Calif. – The Master’s College distance squad competed in the Oxy Distance Carnival on Friday night at Jack Kemp Stadium and Bill Henry Track.  The event pitted the Lady Mustangs against professional and elite collegiate runners, and gave TMC the opportunity to highlight their talent amongst the best.

Hannah Kellerman (Sartell, MN) debuted in the women’s 3000-meter steeplechase.  Kellerman placed second in the evening’s second heat by running the event in 11 minutes and 56.20 seconds, setting a new school record along the way.

Karis Frankian (Saugus, CA), Katrina Graham (Riverside, CA), Micayla Frankian (Saugus, CA), and Jessica Hawley (Canyon Country, CA) competed in the women’s 5000-meter event.

Karis Frankian led the way with a time of 17:21.12, six seconds off from last week’s time posted at the 2013 Ben Brown Invitational.  Graham followed at 18:33.40, while Micayla Frankian completed the event at 19:23.80. Hawley rounded things off for the Lady Mustangs by pacing herself for a final time of 21:53.09, respectively.

The Lady Mustangs now wait to hear who will represent TMC in the prestigious Stanford Invitational on March 29 & 30 in Palo Alto, California.
