| 2010: The heart and soul of the team moves up top
this season...She's willing to fill in whatever spot that the
coaches ask of her and she will excel at that position as
well...Will look to shoot more and be more of a scorer this
season...A big-hearted player who could create lots of
opportunities for herself... 2009: As a junior Sierra started in all but one of the 22 games recording three goals, six assists, and 12 total points...Ended up 12th in the GSAC for assists per game at .27apg...Was named All-GSAC as well as An NSCAA/NCAA First Team All American...Epitomized what a solid midfielder looks like...often the way she played dictated how well the rest of the team was playing... 2008: Continued to make major contributions in her second year on the squad...was second on the team with 23 points...was second in goals (8), doubling her total from the year before...finished first on the team with seven assists. 2007: Came ready to play as a freshman and was an instant starter...finished first on the team with four goals and nine points. Canyon HS: Enjoyed a fantastic prep career for the Cowboys...lettered in soccer as a junior and senior and garnered the varsity MVP award in 2006...named team captain in 2007...competed for Santa Clarita United Xtreme, a local club soccer team for whom she was team captain her freshman through senior years and in 2006 was part of the team that captured the Hawaii Cup-Girls Under-19 "Invitational Only" International Soccer Tournament...was also awarded the Sportsmanship Cup from the Hawaiian Governor's Office after that tournament...selected to SCU's Honor Society (5-years)...also impressive off the field, was selected as CHS' "Most Involved Cowboy"- A Renaissance Award for exhibiting great involvement both inside and outside of high school...an honor scholar with letters in academics all four years as well as awarded the CHS Golden Spur Award-a faculty award given for outstanding scholastic achievement in Spanish 2 (10th), in Science (11th), and in Foreign Language (11th)...also a member and officer of the National Honor Society...graduated seventh in a class of 600...selected as Canyon High School (CHS) Girl's State Finalist (Finalists are chosen by CHS selection committee to represent the high school at the Girls State Conference hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary)... Personal: Parents are Randy and Liz…has one brother, Devon…chose TMC because "TMC is a school that emphasizes excellence in both academics as well as one's spiritual walk with Christ. The student body is genuinely loving and welcoming. The professors are well-educated in their fields of study"…career goals are to attend graduate school and receive her Master of Science in Nursing…favorite TV shows are those on the Food network, "Fresh Prince", " iCarly", and game shows…favorite movies include "She's the Man" and "Across the Universe"…favorite book is the Bible…favorite hobbies include eating, playing soccer, hanging with friends, camping, going to the beach, and road trips in the minivan. |
