| 2010: One of the country's top midfielders as
evidenced by his postseason accolades last fall…has found his niche
in the midfield where he can control tempo but he is equally adept
at attacking the net…his midfield post allows him to showcase his
marvelous passing skills…continues to thrive with more defensive
responsibilities…delivers the ball to teammates in prime
locations…takes the majority of the squad's corner and free
kicks…has the opportunity to repeat last year's honors…a relentless
worker. 2009: Parlaying a breakout campaign with one of the best seasons in program history, the junior midfielder made a conference and national name for himself…the club's top passer triggered the offense with 11 assists and scored the second-most points (29) en route to All-GSAC honors…had four matches with two assists…scored a career-high five points (two goals, one assist) vs. Holy Names on 9/12/09…three of his five goals were game-winners, including a last-second tally vs. Soka on 9/8/09...evidence of his outstanding play came with an NAIA All-American second-team selection. 2008: Super-sub turned starter destroyed the myth of a sophomore jinx with an outstanding second-year performance…tied for the club-high with five assists and his five goals were second on the squad…scored a goal and assisted on another in each of the club's first two matches vs. Cal State San Marcos on 9/2/08 and William Jessup six days later…the goal against Cal State San Marcos was the eventual game-winner…duplicated that three-point effort in a 3-0 win vs. San Diego Christian on 10/18/08…scored the club's opening goal in a 2-1 win over Cal State Bakersfield on 10/7/08. 2007: Surprised everyone but his coaches and teammates with a sparkling freshman campaign…made only one start but made huge contributions off the bench, developing into the club's premier reserve…tallied five goals on just 14 shots, posting the squad's top shooting percentage with a .357 mark…scored his first two collegiate goals against La Sierra on 9/4/07…repeated that performance just three days later vs. William Jessup, booting in a pair of late shots in an 8-1 win…his final goal tied the match with California Baptist on 10/20/07, eventually won by the Mustangs 2-1 in overtime…assisted on Justin Mohrig's match-tying tally in the 83rd minute of the NCCAA national title game vs. Palm Beach Atlantic (FL), setting up the Mustangs' eventual win on penalty kicks. |
