Mustang Golf Finishes in 6th Place at Annual Home Tournament

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – At the conclusion of the 2014 TMC Spring Invitational, The Master’s College golf team finished 6th of 12 with a team score of 916 (299-297-320).

Sixth-ranked Cal State San Marcos finished in first place by carding an outstanding team score of 892 (302-289-301).

Finishing 9th overall was Thane Ringler (Hutchinson, KS), who carded a final score of 224 (75-71-78).  Close behind, Josh Gardella (Littleton, CO) finished in the Top 20 by tying for 15th place with a collective score of 228 (75-73-80).

As for the rest of the Mustangs, Nolan Sand (Hoquiam, WA) finished in 29th place after carding a final score of 233 (77-75-81), while Joseph Downey (Santa Clarita, CA) followed in 30th place at 247 (87-79-81).  Josh Oakes (Murrieta, CA) rounded things off by tying for 47th place after carding 247 (87-79-81) as his final score.

Matthew Kim (Yorba Linda, CA), the lone competitor in the individual category, carded a final score of 266 (93-89-84).

Now the Mustangs look to March 24-25 when the squad will compete at the Battle at Primm tournament on the greens of the Primm Valley Golf Course in Primm, Nevada.
