2011-12:  Played well his freshman year averaging 75.1 and earning NAIA All-Freshmen honors at the NAIA National Championship.  His best finishes were (T6th) HNU Fall Invitational, (1st) CMS Match, (T9th) CSU San Marcos, (T2nd) GV Viking Classic, and (T4th) Regional Championships.  "Thane has the ability to play professionally and we are helping him move towards those goals.  What is more important to me is that he is progressing in his development as a spiritual leader in the Lord", says Coach Semelsberger.

2010-2011: Has tremendous ability and potential...With his determination and vision he should excel in his first year of collegiate play...Coach Semelsberger says, "Thane is an accomplished player who will do great things on the course as he continues to develop his significant leadership skills within our system"...

High School: Medalled in all but 3 high school matches played...Placed 11th at state in both his Freshmen and Sophomore year...Won AVCTL Junior year Individually and as a team...Placed 8th Junior year and 6th Senior year at State... Won the Kansas Junior Amateur in 2010 and the Kansas Junior Match Play in 2009 and 2010...Won the Kansas Junior Player of the Year award in 2010...Was also phenomenal in the classroom where he finished with a weighted GPA of 5.75...

Personal: Son of Grant and Becky Ringler...Has one sister, Courtney (20)... Plans on majoring in Business or Accounting...Is aiming to win at least one NAIA National Championship in golf both individually and as a team...Hopes to play on the PGA Tour someday...Favorite Food is Steak, Mexican Food, and Pizza...Favorite TV Shows are The Office and Sportscenter, Favorite Books are The Bibile, and Humility...Chose TMC, "because it was an opportunity to play golf at a college full of Christian students and teachers who direct everything to be focused on God. It was a place where I could grow in my walk with God as well as improve my golf game.
