|2011: One of only two four-year seniors, he's ready to go out
with a big season…will start at shortstop for the second straight
year where soft hands and excellent range allow him to make a lot
of plays…turns the double play well…will bat near or at the top of
the order…needs to take advantage of his speed to get on base by
bunting more, drawing walks, and going to the opposite field…once
he's on base, he's electric…has the ability to double his stolen
base total and score more runs…has a real shot at cracking the
100-steal career plateau…staying healthy is a major concern for one
who triggers the offense.
2010: One of three Mustangs to start all 51 of the club's games, he has developed into an "ironman", missing just two games in his first three years…played most of the year at shortstop but also made nine starts in center field and two at second base…hit at the top of the order several times but was more comfortable in the nine hole where he became a second "leadoff" hitter…set a career-high with 13 multi-hit games, including a pair of three-hit outings…went 3-4 with two rbi against San Diego Christian on 3/1/10…drove in two or more runs four times and equaled a career-high with four rbi against Azusa Pacific on 4/24/10…swiped 25 bases for the second consecutive year, pulling off three thefts vs. Westmont on 4/10/10…climbed to No. 6 on the career list with 72 stolen bases…paced the club with 139 assists and was part of 24 double plays…jumped to No. 4 with 378 career assists.
2009: Versatile athlete played most of the season at shortstop but also made 16 starts in center field and three more at second base…became more comfortable at the plate, producing career-highs in runs scored, hits, rbi, and doubles…had 12 multi-hit outings, featuring four three-hit performances…went 3-5 with three rbi, two runs scored, and two doubles vs. Azusa Pacific on 3/25/09…drove in a career-high four runs vs. Bethany on 2/6/09…stole two or more bases three times…tied for the team lead with 132 assists and was in on 26 double plays.
2008: Lived up to his preseason billing by stepping right into the starting lineup and producing at the plate…played multiple positions during the season but became the club's starting shortstop over the final 20 games…had 11 multi-hit games, including a 4-4 showing against La Sierra on 3/28/08 when he also scored a season-high five runs…swiped 22 bases, the third-best total on the team, and was caught only four times…finished with 107 assists and participated in 13 double plays.
West HS: A three-year starter for Coach Scott Davisson and the Vikings, he played both shortstop and second, and saw time on the mound…hit .315 in his sophomore year, scored 32 runs, hit three home runs, and had a .425 on-base percentage…a year later when the Vikings lost in the valley championship game, he raised his average to .344, slugged four homers, drove in 21 runs, and posted a .462 on-base percentage…capped his prep career in 2007 by hitting .286.
