Once you are enrolled in your class and your courses are available you will receive an email to your TMU email account from “Instructure”. This will detail how to access Canvas, which is the system you will be using for everything related to your classes. This email will provide a link to complete the Canvas registration process and set your new password.
Setting up your account:
Canvas accounts are automatically created at 5:30 P.M. on the same day you enroll in your classes.Your courses will be published on your Canvas homepage a few days before your course start date. Please Note:Your Canvas account will not be created until you have registered for classes and until your courses have been published.
Resetting your password:
If you have forgotten your password or did not receive the Canvas registration email from Instructure, you will need to do the following:
Adding courses to your Dashboard:
Courses in Canvas are represented by colored cards on the Canvas Dashboard. You can customize the Dashboard to meet your needs. If you do not see a course on your dashboard, you can add it by doing the following:
Click on Courses on the navigation bar on the left side of the screen.
